0Two excellent country inns are within 3 and 10 minute walks.

0The Barley Mow - Turn right at the end of the drive and walk to the bottom of the hill; the 0'Barley' is on the left. A range of fine ales and home cooked food is served in either a 0restaurant or open fire setting.

0The Red Fox - Turn left at the end of the drive and take the right fork along the narrow 0road through the woods. Turn right, and right again after 300 metres or so. The 'Fox' is 0100 metres on the right. The walk is well worth it. The welcome is excellent and the food 0is currently amongst the finest on offer in the Vale. A range of home cooked food and 0daily specials are served in either the oak - floored Restaurant or flag - stone floored bar.

0Some two miles away is the market town of Cowbridge. There you will find a wider 0selection of restaurants. By day, The Vale Inn and The Bear Hotel serve excellent pub 0lunches. Farthings and The Market Place are always good day or night and if you want 0something extra special try the silver service at Huddarts. For tapas Bar 44 is very good. 0All can be found on the High Street. A range of coffee bars and tea rooms are available 0throughout the town.

0For oriental cuisine, there is an excellent Chinese restaurant at the side of the river, just 0behind the Town Hall. On the hill to the East of Cowbridge along the A48 is one of Soth 0Wales best Indian restaurants, the Mughal Emporer.

0More country inns can be accesses within a file mile drive.

0The renowned 'Plough and Harrow' at Monknash is well worth a visit. The food is excellent 0and you won't find a finer selection of real ales within South Wales. It hasn't won the 0CAMRA pub of the year award so many times for nothing!

0The Blue Anchor at East Aberthaw is a traditional thatched country inn, with a unique 0atmosphere of small, cosy snugs and bars.

0Others worth trying are The Carne Arms in Llysworney. The Victoria Inn at Siginstone, 0The Sycamore Tree at Colwinston and the Farmers Arms and Hare and Hounds in 0Aberthin.

0Further a field, Cardiff City Centre and Bay areas have all you would expect of such a 0vibrant and dynamic City. Ask us for a recommendation!

0For a morning coffee or afternoon tea Cowbridge offers several great stops. If you are out 0and about, try the Tearooms next to Ogmore Castle, the small cafe near Ewenny Pottery 0and the Beach cafe at Llantwit Major.
